Аннотация
Internet discourse, a dominant form of contemporary communication, presents unique theoretical challenges that traditional linguistic and discourse-analytical frameworks struggle to address. This thesis contends that a comprehensive analysis of internet discourse necessitates an integrated theoretical model that synthesizes structural and semantic perspectives. By critically reviewing and integrating theories from socio-technical systems, multimodal discourse analysis, and digital pragmatics, this thesis proposes a novel theoretical framework for a holistic understanding of internet discourse. The framework is applied to a pilot analysis of a cross-platform corpus to demonstrate its analytical utility in revealing how structure and semantics interact to produce the distinctive texture of online communication, from viral tweets to subreddit debates.
