DIZZINESS DISORDERS: CAUSES, DIAGNOSIS, AND TREATMENT APPROACHES

Abstract
Dizziness is one of the most common neurological and vestibular complaints reported in clinical practice. It is not a disease itself but rather a symptom associated with a wide range of medical conditions affecting the vestibular, neurological, cardiovascular, and psychological systems. Dizziness disorders significantly affect the quality of life, reducing physical activity, productivity, and emotional well-being. This article discusses the major types of dizziness disorders, their causes, diagnostic methods, and current treatment approaches. Special attention is given to vestibular disorders such as vertigo, Ménière’s disease, vestibular neuritis, and benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). The importance of early diagnosis and multidisciplinary treatment is emphasized.
